About Kittiwake Class
Welcome to Kittiwake Class. Kittiwake follows a semi – formal curriculum which includes lots of practical activities and learning opportunities, time for regulation and motivation and opportunities to prepare ourselves for life.
In KS3 we follow the Semi-formal Main Phase Curriculum. It is designed to meet the appropriate needs of young people aged 11+. The curriculum comprises of relevant and stimulating learning opportunities, which can be used to address students’ individual objectives and prepare young people for adult life.
Lesson of Study include My World and My Community, My Independence, Myself and My Body, My Thinking and problem solving as well as My Communication. The curriculum also offers a breadth of experience within which the pupil’s Personal Learning Targets can be met.
